Student stories from the chart room

Feedback from traders who completed programs at our Go Vap classroom — including where they still struggle and what changed in their daily mark-up routine.

"Week four homework on USD/VND daily was the turning point. Thao marked where I called a ChoCH too early — before the body closed past the prior swing. I stopped front-running structure breaks after that."

— Huyen N., forex part-timer, Binh Thanh · Structure Intensive, Spring 2025

"Foundations Lab felt slow at first because I wanted reversal entries immediately. Looking back, the swing labelling drills saved me from overcomplicating the Intensive. I would still prefer one extra session on lower timeframes."

— Khoa V., HOSE swing trader · Foundations + Intensive, 2024

"Private review with Duc on my FPT chart was blunt in a useful way. He circled three places where I ignored wick rejection at a prior high. Not cheap for ninety minutes, but cheaper than another month of random entries."

— Anh Q., equity reader, District 3 · Private Chart Review, Jan 2026

"I commute from Thu Duc for Tuesday evenings. The printed packs mean I can mark charts on the bus. Reversal cue checklist lives in my folder — I use it mostly on gold and VN30 now."

— Tam L., commodities hobbyist · Structure Intensive, Autumn 2025

"Honest limitation: the class will not give you a strategy with fixed R:R. You leave knowing how to read legs and when a reversal cue is incomplete. That matched what I wanted, but know that going in."

— Phuc D., former signal-group member · Structure Intensive, 2025

"Returned for the graduate revision session in March. Seeing how the instructors mark the same live chart differently on H4 vs daily clarified my timeframe confusion."

— Mai T., Intensives graduate · Revision session attendee

From indicator stacking to one clean structure map

Binh joined the Autumn 2024 Intensive after two years of mixing five indicators on 15-minute HOSE charts. He submitted homework where every chart had RSI, MACD, and two moving averages — but no labelled swings.

By week two, instructors required a clean chart with only price and volume before any indicator could be added. Binh's week three BOS exercise on HPG daily showed a proper break only after he removed the 9 EMA he was using as a crutch for trend direction.

He now runs a single daily structure map before the open and keeps a reversal cue checklist for intraday entries. He still overtrades on expiry weeks, which he mentioned in our follow-up survey — but his average hold time lengthened because he stops adding when structure is unclear.
